Quilotoa Loop

From Latacunga we went to the big and crazy Saquisili market where you can find everythng from household stuff to clothes, food, animals, frouits and veggies and so on
then through several villages by bus (crazy steep roads...), horse "segundo and Pedro" and walking.
Great scenery, volcanoe landsapes, agriculture high up on steep  Huegeln, like a patchwork.

1000 sights on the markets. modern and traditional fashion. everything is sold on the streets.
1 "million" pictures.
old and new crappy houses and new and modern developments at the same time.

nice guesthouses and hosts, and nice company on the hike from england (1 year trip in Africa and Southamerica) , Switzerland and Germany (5 weeks Ecuador)
Great views on the volcano crater lake.
the Caldera "Laguna Quilotoa" where we hiked around is 9 m around. big!

a picknick invitation by an Ecuadorian family, the mother lived in Vienna for 5 years as a student: leiwand! gemma! servas! hahaha


hot sun and cold air. dogs, guineapigs, lamas, pigs, chickens, horses...
sun, fog, clouds, sun, wind...

back to town on the open back of a pickup with a crazy driver, like on a rollercoaster, but for free.
