Cotopaxi

We left Quito on monday to the beautiful Hostal Cuello de Luna near Cotopaxi, which is owned and run since 1999 by the Ismael from Switzerland and offers a kind of austrian-swiss-south tyrol-almhuetten-feeling with woodfire oven and 7 Sand Bernard dogs.... and went on a beautiful hike with Cotopaxi views in the afternoon.

Today Tuesday we went with the Agency BIKING DUTCHMAN and 10 more people up to 4500 m by car from where we started the descent back down and through beautiful volcano landscapes to 3100 m. a great ride of 40 km with 4 seasons in one day and much colder than yesterday!
more pics o facebook.

I am so happy I dont have to climb this Schotterhaufen (heap of gravel) haha
an "open friedge", as our host said yesterday!

tonight we are in Latacunga, a nothing special town and will go for the Quilotoa Loop from tmrw.
